On Saturday, 18 September 2021, members of our local team completed another successful litter pick. Vesna Cvetek, who organised the event, said:
I have set up a new litter picking team: Feltham West Team.
On 18 September 2021, it was our first action day picking litter at Grosvenor Park, off Guildford and Rochester Avenues.
We came across plastic carrier bags stuck into soil, so we had to put our gloves on and pull them out. We found some empty vodka bottles and a facemask.
We also found pieces of stirofor which birds could mistake for food and presumably choke on. So, our task is really important for the environment, and those that have no voice.
It was really positive feeling helping birds and protecting the environment, with a small gesture of one hour of our time on Saturday afternoon.
